Spa Resorts and Traditional Healing

Australia is a fantastic place to enjoy all that a spa resort has to offer.  It has all manner of natural wonders, with oceans and rivers, and wetlands and outback, to keep inspiring you as you come back to your own good spirits.  The mystique and appeal of Australia is not something that’s simply in the minds of others, but the locals hold it, too, and understand that there is a whole lot more here than meets the eye.  It’s one of the most ideal places to focus on the regeneration of the body and soul, and our spa resorts located in Australia offer something that will please every taste.  Whether you are looking for the latest technologies in spa therapy to help your muscles, or for older, holistic traditions to work their way into your memory, we have something to offer you.

This is a splendid way to detoxify your system, and relax the mind at the same time, and it’s always a good idea to look into which settings and which therapies are the best for you.  Some of our spas offer therapies based in traditional healing, in Eastern philosophy, or Western techniques.  Looking into traditional healing in Australia can be a fascinating thing in its own rite, and might be a good choice for your vacation. The Australian Traditional Medicine Society is just one organization among many here, and they have over 11,000 members.  They are a cooperative of naturopaths and herbalists, accupuncturists and nutritionists, and would be a good way to begin connecting to the other communities while you’re here.

There is also a great interest in indigenous forms of healing in Australia, and if this is particularly interesting to you, you may want to check with your spa resort to see if they practice any of the local techniques.  Shamanism is a subject that’s interesting to many people of all walks of life here, and the native influence on the culture is very strong, so many of the ideas won’t be so foreign here.  There was even a very successful book recently by Veronica Dobson, an elders in the Arrernte community, who teaches about these traditional healing methods that combine ancestral wisdom and local knowledge of herbs.  In the spa community, it’s a place where you can talk about these things without people looking at you sideways, and may offer a doorway to experiences that could work for you.

Blondie’s NYC

New York is one of those cities that always lives up to the hype.  It’s one of the world’s great cities, and maybe the new Rome.  John Lennon certainly thought so.  It has a magnetic power of attraction that brings in some of the best minds and most talented people in the world, looking for a bite of the apple, or wanting to contribute to the cultural fabric of the world.  For art and commerce, it’s difficult to find a city that even comes close, and it’s been taking care of travelers for more than a century.  Hospitality is an art form here, and for luxury hotels, New York City has magnificent offerings.  Our hotels are selected for their ability to offer fantastic hospitality with a difference.

They are truly exquisite and unique, offering a luxury experience that is unlike any other in New York.  You’ll love the comfortable rooms that invite long naps and deep sleeping, and waking up in splendid decor.  After a sumptuous meal, you’ll be ready to start enjoying what the city has to offer you today.  Musically, the history of NYC in music is a reflection of world music, because every movement came here or originated here.  Today’s rage for retro has some of its roots in the musical aesthetic of one of the original punk bands, Blondie.  However, it’s probably a misnomer to call them punk, because they really weren’t that, they were just there in the mix with the Ramones, Television, and the Talking Heads, when it all started.

Blondie’s beginnings were rather typical, and still very much in line with myths of beginnings.  In 1974, an art student named Chris Stein met a waitress from Max’s Kansas City, Debbie Harry.  They found they had a shared love for the pop radio hits of the previous decade, and felt they could continue this tradition with difference.  Blondie was born in punk, and their hyper-ironic pop performances fit in well with the whole scene.  And there was something unusual about their lead singer, who performed with a self-referential attitude that was simultaneously antagonistic and seductive.  This combination made for a knockout group, who were performing a kind of retro long before retro was cool.  They were inducted into the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 2006.

Hot tub house sitting

I just love it when my friend is out of town and asks me to house sit! The place is really nice and comfortable but the best part is that there is a hot tub there. I really love soaking in a hot tub and feel so relaxed after wards I can not believe I have not put one in at my house. They have done a beautiful job with this one, it is set into the landscape beautifully and looks like it has always been a part of the property. I think they have had it for only about 8 months now. The combination of plantings around the base of bushes and vining plants with a generous sprinkling of potted plants all around the hot tub blends in so well that even as big as it is it is not the first thing you notice in the back yard. I like that it does not stick out like a sore thumb and break up the continuity of their landscaping.

The beneficial use hot tubs and spas are another reason to get one. It is so relaxing like I said, I definitely sleep much better after unwinding and relaxing in the spa. The rushing water bubbling by, the jets messaging my muscles what could be better. The action of the hot water and jets loosen up my tense muscles and relieve the stiffness in my neck and shoulder. There is definitely a difference int eh days i take advantage of a hot tub soaking and the days I do not.

There are so many sises and styles to choose from I really do not have much of an excuse to not get one installed. From portable to permanent from small to large and extra large there is something for everyone

Finding Various Aspects of Terrorist Financing

Financial institutions with information relative to various aspects of terrorist financing need assistance in identifying and reporting related suspicious activity. The Aspect of financial transactions indicative of terrorist funding in the Suspicious Activity Report (SAR), discusses the vulnerabilities of a financial system to terrorist financing. It’s in the last two editions of the SAR review which provides statistical data and a great amount of information concerning terrorist-related SAR’s.

A continued examination of the SAR database will help determine the extent to which SAR’s have been filed by financial institutions that suspect certain activities relating to terrorism or terrorist financing. Recently, a review of the report identified several interesting trends. First and foremost is the number of SARs submitted from financial institutions reporting terrorism or terrorist financing has continuously declined every since the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States. Second, only 1/3 of the SARs filed referencing terrorism were filed as a result of the names listed on the governments Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), otherwise known as the watch list or Section 314(a) Information Requests. Lastly, the remaining 2/3 of the SARs reviewed, appeared to be submitted as a direct result of the implementation of proactive initiatives created by individual organizations, which are now more aware of the indicators leading to the financial activities and the transactions conducted by potential terrorists and terrorist organizations.

This is great news for the aid in preventing and protecting further attacks on the United States. Institutions are becoming more independent concerning the specifics on a list and are identifying suspicious activities on their own, as a potential terrorist related movements. Proactive measures and initiatives created by these institutions are currently being shared freely to other international institutions so aid in their efforts to combat terrorist financing and making their countries a safer place for people and companies to conduct business.

Cape Jazz and Buddy Wells

Cape Town is a fantastic place to be looking for something to eat.  The urban life is some of the most fascinating and lively in the entire country, with an enormous diversity in culture and language.  It is also one of the world’s largest cities, serving as a hub for all of South Africa, and this gives it a very strong sense of international tastes and traditions.  The best Cape Town restaurants can offer both gourmet variations on local cuisine, or international or fusion cooking, that speaks to the flavors of the place, as well as to its place in the world.  We’ve selected some of the finest restaurants to give you some of the most elegant dining experiences in the country.

After enjoying a splendid meal, you’re very likely in the center of things, or near one of the centers of town, and it’s a perfect time to investigate the night life in South Africa.  Cape Town has long traditions of innovation in music and the arts, and there’s always plenty to do.  One of the liveliest forms, and the art that is the most tangible in the streets, is music.  Cape Town’s musical history is enormously rich, and there are volumes of writing about it.  With thousands of years of traditions roaring through here, there is a lot of inspiration to draw from.  There are also the more recent forms that come to South Africa, and get absorbed by the musical culture to make new styles and new innovations of old traditions, and a fine example of this is Cape Jazz, a style characterized by being played only by instruments that can be carried.  It came from the festival and carnival tradition, and blended complex layers of contemporary jazz forms into the musical landscape.

Cape Jazz is remarkable, and some of the best musicians work in this form, as evidenced by the enormous popularity of the Cape Town International Jazz Festival.  This annual festival takes place over two night, and features a stunning array of local and international artists.  One of locals, Buddy Wells, often plays this festival, and can also be heard in the local clubs.  He’s worth watching for, as he is one of the pre-eminent saxophonists in the world, and adds his two cents of magnificent music into this gigantic feast of sound.

How did I get along with out a Hot Tub!

There is nothing like coming home and soaking in my nice warm relaxing hot tub at the end of a hard days work. Most of my days are spent in hard labor so to speak. I work in a foundry and forge wrought iron. Lifting shovels full of coal into the furnace, pumping the bellows, lifting the iron rods, heating them till glowing red and then hammering them into shape is hard physical work! It is something I really enjoy the roar of the furnace the blasts of hot air and the final product produce. There is a lot of pride n making something that requires this much skill and effort. However the result is daily physical exhaustion, sore and worn out muscles, aches and tension.

I am not sure how I did this so long with out the use of a hot tub at the end of my day. The release of the tension and ache is much welcomed when the end of the day comes. The deep relaxation I experience is has resulted in me getting a much better nights sleep than I had in a very very long time. I love the feel of the warm water bubbling from the jets on my shoulders, neck, arms, lower back and legs. On evening I don;t take advantage of the hot tub I usually wake up stiff and ache. No matter my level of tiredness I really should take advantage daily, however some days it is all I  can imagine to clean up eat and sleep.

Ultimately I would recommend that soaking in a hot tub for anyone at all weather their work is heavy and physical or not. Tension from office stress would be greatly reduced by use of a hot tub,  like I said I don’t know how I got along without it!

Valencia Tomato Fight

Port towns have many things to recommend them.  There is always a rich and interesting history, a tradition of hospitality among the people, and there is a custom of interaction with other cultures, languages, and traditions.  This makes for a warm and inviting sensibility, and Valencia is certainly no different.  A splendid travel destination in Spain, there is a chic sensibility that is reflected in its 5 star hotels.  Valencia has a charm that is refined but not exclusive, making for a visually sumptuous place with a spectacular culinary tradition.  The chefs in our hotels have a wide knowledge of traditional and contemporary Spanish cooking, along with an exquisite talent for international tastes, and are a wonderful introduction to Valencia.

Enjoy a scrumptious meal here before heading out to enjoy all that Valencia has to offer.  It’s a far cry from its days as an industrial city, offering plenty of attractions and distractions to keep guests of all ages happy.  There are fantastic festivals and fairs here, and some of the best of these revolve around food.  If you happen to be visiting in late August, then you’ll no doubt hear plenty about one of the most interesting food festivals in the world, the Valencia Tomato Festival.  This actually originates in a town near Valencia, Buñol, and began in the 1940s, when a tomato fight broke out spontaneously.

No one remembers exactly what the fight was about, and it probably wasn’t very important.  The commemoration of this event, coupled with the harvest of gorgeous Valencia tomatoes, leads the city to orchestrate this huge festival annually.  Affectionately known as La Tomatina, the colorful event is really one big tomato fight.  It’s not a place to take children, as the festivities get very aggressive.  There are those who hone their tomato-throwing technique by softening the overripe tomatoes even further, to increase the amount of vegetal carnage.  It’s a very heady event in terms of smell and intensity, and is also enormous fun.

Hot Tubs, Spas, and Deep Breathing

With your own spa, your house becomes a refuge, a place to leisurely unwind at the end of a busy day.  Just knowing that there’s a sure-fire stress reliever in your own yard can make life a little easier.  People who own their own hot tubs, spas, and jacuzzis know that it’s a wonderful thing to be able to entertain at the drop of a hat.  When your friends are talking about getting together for dinner and fun, your house is the perfect place for a party.  Hot tubs are also extremely therapeutic, and have beneficial effects on physical as well as emotional health.

The freedom allowed by the feeling of having your own spa is only matched by the benefits to your health, in fact.  There are studies that show that a hot tub can be very good for the heart, improve the circulatory system, and also help enormously in insomnia if used regularly.  There are also benefits to breathing.  Hot, humid water can help to loosen up the throat and chest, making it possible to draw a deep breath.  Deep breathing is one of the most elemental things we can do for our health, one of the simplest things, and it’s often one of the things we rarely remember to do.

Having a spa in your home, where you can relax alone or with friends, is a fantastic way to remember to breathe.  There are also other benefits to having a spa, which are directly related to breathing.  A hot tub can be wonderfully healing for abdominal pain, as well as other aches to joints and muscles.  The buoyancy takes the pressure off the body to hold the organs and muscles in place, and it’s easy to relax.  This kind of relaxation is naturally accompanied by deep breathing, and the benefits to deep breathing are numerous, and positively wonderful.  There are many therapies, such as Yoga, which are built around the idea of the breath, and when your spa is your connection, there is a source for health and healing right in your home.

Expanding Business Operations

When it became time to expand our operation into Canada it the task of finding appropriate space for offices and employees became a top priority. With business growth here and the client base becoming stronger the time for expansion is now. Taking time out of my busy schedule and planning a business trip and locating a property and making the trip are all seeming like more to be accomplished than can be done readily with all the other daily tasks and responsibilities I have on my plate.

Going some Internet research I came across the company Transglobe property management, Transgolbal Property Management is one of Canada’s fasted growing property management companies. They state they have in excess of twenty thousand residential apartments and over five million feet of commercial space in their inventory. This seems like these folks would have the information we would need and possibly suitable properties for our employees to work and live in. Transglobe property management is professional, large enough to be able to service our needs yet have a small feel where we will get the service and personal attention we need and require to successfully expand out operation. With contact being made and the information on what we will be needing in Canada to successfully pull this expansion off. I feel confident we have a partner in Canada now that has our best interests in mind and will be able to organize and arrange viewings of the properties making for a more efficient trip to Canada when we go.

With that done and the requests in place I will get focused on another busy week. I will have to employ all my time management knowledge and skills to accomplish what I need to get to this week.

Budapest Baths, Hot Tubs and Spas in Eastern Europe

The last time you relaxed in your spa almost always feels like the first time.  It’s a splendid sensation that never gets old, where the worries of the day melt off when the hot jets start to do their magic on your skin.  Having a spa is the kind of luxury that you’ll never cease to appreciate, because it does create a certain wonderful change in your lifestyle.  Hot tubs and spas can do wonders not only for your social life, but for your physical health as well. The positive effects of a spa are well-known, but perhaps not so well-known is their prominence in cultures all over the world.

Wherever there is a prominence of hot springs, there is an interest in the therapeutic effects of water, and the technologies in creating the contemporary portable spa come from these natural sources.  The thought of harnessing the healing attributes of water in your own home is enormously welcome, and it’s also very possible.  One of the best spots in the world for exploring the effects of natural hot springs on the local population is in Budapest, Hungary.  It’s one of the greatest reservoirs for these healing waters in the world, and there is a long tradition of public bathing here.

There are some places where the natural springs are left much as they were centuries ago, but it’s more likely to find some cosmetic changes.  Some places, such as the Szechenyi Baths, have become incredibly ornate gathering places, where you can join in the ritual with large groups for a modest fee.  But they all speak of the wonderful possibilities of your own spa in your own home, where the experience of incredible relaxation can be taken in by yourself, or with large groups.  It’s entirely up to you, and how you decide to use your imagination, now that this other world is at your disposal.
