San Francisco Golden Gate and Bay Bridges

There are many things that you can say about the city of San Francisco. And regardless of your personal interests, cultural orientation and even political views, one thing that is certain and universally accepted is that it has some of the most beautiful views, in all directions, that can be found anywhere. The natural geographic oriented scenery is one of the main aspects associated with the atmospheric beauty though there are also some gorgeous human constructed elements that contribute to much of the scenic wonder. Tourists are frequently amazed by some of the views and this is partially due to the panoramic nature of them. Everywhere you look there are gorgeous views of bridges, buildings and of course the bay and ocean. Also, the East Bay has its own beautiful aspects and sometimes it’s to drive across the Bay Bridge to get a view of the San Francisco skyline .

This actually brings up to interesting elements of the city, the Bay Bridge and the Golden Gate Bridge. Both of these bridges add to the beauty of the Bay Area and also serve as major landmarks. Images of the Golden Gate Bridge are famous across the world and there are great romantic associations to it as well as cultural and historic symbolic significance. It is one of the most famous bridges in the world and most people have a particular personal association to its image. Completion of this beautiful suspension bridge occurred in 1937 and it connects the northern edge of the city of San Francisco with Marin County. The Oakland Bay Bridge, generally referred to as the Bay Bridge, connects San Francisco with the East Bay, directly with Oakland. It was officially opened to the public in 1936, six months before the formal completion of the Golden Gate Bridge. These two routes in and out of the city not only serve tourists, but also provide great views for them once they reach their comfortable rooms in a hotel San Francisco .
